Man What are You Talking About

Once again another long week of classes. I've got a few things on my mind, some of which might not be politically correct. Don't hate me cause I am going there but, heck I can ask a question. 1. Why is it that cute lesbian women prefer to date studs? For those who do not know what stud is, it is a woman who damn near looks like a dude. Now I am not trying to go there on the whole gay issue, I am just curious about the the above question. Over the past few weeks throughout the city, I have seen several CUTE girls all hugged up with what appeared to be their boyfriend, but upon further review, cute chick is really hugged up with a thugged out chick. I guess in my mind, I am saying, are you truly a lesbian when you are attracted to dudes who just happen to be chicks? Does it really mean that these women do actually like men? Mind boggling isn't it. It does make you say hmmm. Some of those stud chicks are damn near scarier looking than your average male thug. I digress on that issue. 2. Harold Ford Jr. is running for a Senate seat. Hmmmm.... Um..... uh.... I'll get back at you on that. 3. Social Security Reform and Private Accounts. The game is to pit young folk against the elderly and some to be retirees. All I know is this, the intent or purpose of Social Security is to provide a safety net, not to get folk rich. That was not the plan. All I can think of is another Enron scandal involving those who invested their social security fund in such a company and in the end having absolutely nothing in it, leaving those people high and dry. Most Americans lack the common sense to vote in their own best interest, given this fact alone, what makes one think these people will have the know how to select an investment and maintain their investment. Critics say there will be less workers putting into the system and more people pulling from it. If this is the case, shouldn't this administration commit to a massive job creation program? My solution,.simply empower the Social Security administration more leeway to select slightly higher yielding investments. Putting the money into the hands of the people create more of a risk for misfortune and a puts a hole in the safety net.

Taking a Minute to Clear My Head

Wow, been a hectic week. The Convention was a success, met other ambitious law students, and attended some worthwhile seminars. School has me on lock, but there are a few newsworthy stories I have to put my two cents on. First, what is the deal with the gay/fake journalist who was a part of the White House Press Corp. This cat was actually called on quite often I might add to ask right leaning questions. Turns out the dude was a hoe for sell, literally, he was/is a gay escort. I am not gonna put such filth on my page but I could not resist putting one of the photos up, just for proof sake. Mind you, such White House journalist typically must pass a F.B.I. background check, this guy received daily passes and did not go through any background check. Most astonishing is the fact he is not a real journalist in terms of credentials and the trick was using an alias. Maureen Dowd of the N.Y. Times, (one my favorite columnist)wrote, "I'm still mystified by this story. I was rejected for a White House press pass at the start of the Bush administration, but someone with an alias, a tax evasion problem and Internet pictures where he posed like the "Barberini Faun" is credentialed to cover a White House that won a second term by mining homophobia and preaching family values?" Read the article, http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/17/opinion/17dowd.html Ok, so given the fact that this administration pays folk like Armstrong "Sellout" Williams and others to hype up its policies, why does this story surprise me? The question should really be, why doesn't the press corp ask the hard questions and put people on the spot. I hate to go there, but what if, a certain female reporter, who Clinton often called upon for softball questions, was later found to be a moonlighting prostitute. How might Clinton have been implicated? Second, anything pertaining to sex and Clinton was a major news story, somehow this story does not match up? Nuff said. Is it me, or are we starting this whole weapon of mass destruction and imminent threat story all over again, except now we are talking about Iran? It's like watching a bad re-run all over again. Are we gonna fall for it all over again? What about North Korea? They actually have nukes?? At the rate we are going, screw reforming social security cause ain't none of us going to be around to actually get a damn check. Which brings me to my last point. The Budget has been submitted and of course, vital programs are on the verge of getting cut or eliminated. Yet, we can ask for billions more to fight this bogus war. We've already spent billions.... Hell veteran benefits are on the chopping block as well. It pisses me off to think about how much money has been wasted and will be wasted in this war. Can you imagine what our cities could do with the money we are f'in off on Bush's little Democracy Tour. We have people right now who can not put food on the table, can't afford medicine, cities unable to fund their schools, the list goes on. But as soon as money is requested to meet some of these needs, guess what, there's no money, we can't afford it, or some other lame azz excuse. Sucks doesn't it. . Hold that Thought

I am attending the National Black Law Student Conference in New Orleans this week. Hopefully, I will be inspired to work harder to complete my legal education. While on the road, I am pondering whether the Black and Latino communities should be happy for Condorskeezer Rice and Torture Gonzales accomplishments. Are we hating?
