Mana-what?

I must admit, I am one of the many uninformed in the City. I dare to say I haven't read our local paper, or even watched any local news in quite a few days. So I guess I am the last to know that there's a manatee chillin off our shores in the Mississippi River.
I can imagine the first person to see it sticking its head/snout out of the water. "Mane call the zoo, its a damn Hippomatatomus in the River" (I'm sooo wrong for that)
It is kind of amazing that the endangered creature would even make its way up the River. Reports estimate it to be about 700 to 750 miles away from its normal habitat. That's one hell of a swim upstream, for the large slow animal. How long has it been lurking along the river? Quite interesting actually. What has it been eating? Heck, has it been eating? I was one who thought the River did not have a living creature in it, besides catfish. Darn manatee done proved me wrong.......Hope he survives the ride back to Florida. Mr. Manatee, you're on your way to Sea World!

Manny – “The Memphis Manatee”

Correcto: “The Missing Manatee”

In the middle of this vast Rivage, that flows along this great city. In the middle of the murky cold waters of election campaigns, high murder rate (#2), taxes mo “Property Taxes” mo taxes, Payroll Taxes (bite ‘em Doc, bite them all)!!! In the midst of delinquent child support payments, etc. etc….

In the middle of life’s everyday pains and struggles, we find ourselves captivated & intrigue by a 1000+ pound sea monster. Nature is so interesting.

I think Mr. Manny was actually running from something on the coast – Was it the high crime rate on the coast, was it the high coastal property taxes, or was he swimming away from foley’s folly?? hummmm

Maybe he was trying to avoid his child support payments, or maybe he was just trying to take a break from the pains & struggles of everyday life.

“Missing without a Trace” – My guess is that Mr. Manny arose to the top and noticed something that looked quite familiar. It was that infamous white boat, with the blue dolphin on the side “Sea World”. Just like most ((Smart)) mammals, Manny knows that the sight of this means trouble. He has probably witnessed Friends, Foes and even Family members who have disappeared after seeing the “Blue & White” slave ship. Mr. Manny probably said nada to the captivity & subjection for the purpose of public entertainment {For Life…}. Nope, Nada, No way, Not this Brutha-Man!

So like the smart mammal that he is, he leaves the scene – “Missing without a Trace”.

~~~~roll river,roll on~~~~~ nature at it’s best...
peace,
rw
