Trapped in Da Library
I came out for a little fresh air, still not looking at a calendar though. I just wanted to share a little humor with you. Click on the link....... http://www.americancomedynetwork.com/FLASH/soldiers.htm
The day to day thoughts of a mild mannered baby lawyer fresh from law school trying to come up. He's got a lot of thoughts on a lot of issues, sometimes he is on point, sometimes he is full of sh*!. For the most part, he seeks to find the middle ground on most issues. Do you find yourself agreeing or disagreeing with him? Do tell.

I've been busy getting my mind right for upcoming exams. Don't even want to look at a calendar these days. For me right now, this is the calm before the storm, I hear the wind whirling, the leaves flying, sky getting darker, almost time for me to flee to the basement (Library) and take cover. Run lil Negro and take your books with you!
I start by saying, "Would somebody give Bush a blowjob so we could impeach him." . It's amazing how Republicans minimize the outing of a CIA agent, saying it was no big deal and what not, when this Administration runs around the country touting how Patriotic they are, and how much integrity and honesty they bring to the White House. Bullshit. What is the purpose of the Memphis City School requiring uniforms when they allow the kids to wear the clothes however they want. If you are gonna require uniforms, make the little bastards wear the clothes properly. I am all for individuals expressing their individuality and creativity through ones style of dress. However, I am sick of a certain segment of youth, sagging every pair of pants worn, and particularly tired of all the white tees. Especially when these so-called styles originate from prison. I have to blame rap music, videos and BET. Pull your damn pants up boy! I am sick of Rap Music. Yep, I said it. Remember Brown Sugar, when Sanaa Lathan thought back on when she fell in love with hip hop. Well I am reflecting on when I realized I hate rap music. Well it started with Vanilla Ice, just teasing, let me see...I think I began to hate rap music when artist no longer included messages in its lyrics. If you look back, rappers have always talked about, how much ice they had, how many cars they rode, or how many hoes they had. At the same time, some of those artist slipped messages in or took a second to drop a track addressing some issue. At the same time though, there were also rappers who just talked about issues, or those who had strong lyrics endorsing enlightenment, education, rejecting violence, or drug use. Today, no such artist exist, and if they do, they get no play from the mainstream media. So the youth of the day, are truly being cheated by only being exposed to the bullshit being played on the airwaves and on t.v. All they are exposed to is thuggery, and that lifestyle. And we wonder why our kids are out of control. Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on these cats who are selling millions of records. Fifty, Jeezy, its applaudable that those dudes have overcome and are now successful. These brothers have found a way to make money legitimately, so I can't hate. But you have some artists who were never thugs, never in the game, acting like they are straight up gangstas. They aint keeping it real, so how can you get mad when half of the black middle class youth, and some white kids feel the need to emulate these fools and the lifestyles they allegedly live. Get Rich of Die Trying, in analyzing the words only, sends the wrong message period, to those kids who are tying to come up. I miss artists like Public Enemy, "Welcome to the Terrordome", X-Clan, Boogie Down Production "Love", Tribe Called Quest, folk who at least, at the end of the day, had some positive message in its music. How can our youth be enlightened when they are bombarded with bullshit. I wonder? Shout out to LeMoyne Owen basketball team after getting boned by the University of Memphis. Shawne Williams, go to class, get a year of college ball under your belt, then go from there. Mo, do your thing at San Diego State, "Let me be yo Agent"
