Dispatch From London # 9
Working on a paper for class, but its too hot to write, there's a little heat wave here. But I am writing about "Terrorism". It would seem like something easy to write on, but when you marinate on it, it can get a little complex. Were the Civil Rights Workers, MLK, Malcolm terrorist or freedom fighters? The Klan? The folk in the Boston Tea Party?
What is terrorism?
I think the word is being over used these days. Everybody who has beef with the U.S. is a supposedly a terrorist. Quite frankly our country can be looked at as terrorist. Just ask the relatives of 15 year old girl who was raped and whose body showed signs of being set on fire and whose family was killed during the act by our service men in Iraq. Aint that some s#$%, we supposed to be over there liberating those people, if that is liberty, maybe they should let Saddam return. I would never wish that on any girl, reading the article hurts my heart.......God have mercy on her soul.

As a law student, you should know better.
The girl was ALLEGEDLY raped...let the facts come out, let the investigate continue without jumping to conclusions.
As a law student, don't you understand the concept of innocent until proven guilty?
You know, I will give you that, as a law student, my comment was not reflective of the ideas which are taught. When my statement was made, it was made from the stand point of that of a father, brother or cousin.
Alleged rape, MAYBE, but there is no doubt that the poor child is dead. It's quite clear who is responsible. Damn a concept at this particular moment.
